Meet Marianne Cope
Born in
Germany then
moved to
New York,
she spent several years teaching and founding hospitals there. She felt called due to her devotion to St
Francis and the request she received by letter to tend the poor and those with
leprosy there. She did so cheerfully and
with great energy and compassion.
