I do not know if the witness of words and works
is always most necessary or if sometimes—perhaps many times—what is most
necessary is a discreet, almost unnoticed but real presence of persons who give
witness to Christ with their prayer, gentleness, and example, helping others
grow in Christ’s likeness. (The Witness)
