December
2012
Dear
Pro Sanctity Prayer Partners:
In
December the Church celebrates both the advent and Christmas seasons. I
love it that when most say Merry Christmas starting at the beginning of December,
it is more common for Catholics to say happy and blessed advent. The
focus on this four week period of preparation is one of the great gifts of the
Church.
We
continue in our new formation manual: Famished for the Same Bread.
The theme for this month is Famished for the same bread of Eternal Life:
I believe in God, Source of Life. The scripture for the month is John
chapter 6 which focuses more on the Eucharist than any other place in the
bible. Belief in God as the source of life cannot be
separated from the Eucharist because where Jesus is truly present in the
Eucharist the entire trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit is with Him.
We
are called as Christians to radiate the love of God, aided by His very presence
in the Eucharist so that others drawn by our love which comes from Him will
also come to believe.
Let
us pray especially this month for an increased boldness in witnessing to our faith.
It seems that many find it easier during the Christmas season to speak of
Christ who became a child in the womb and was born for us. Let us pray
that this will open the doors of opportunity to share our faith with others.
Let us also continue to pray for those affected by recent storms and
those who are working to assist them.
Thank
you for praying with us

I am moving back to Omaha
this month. Please send your prayer
request to Omaha instead of California . The return envelope will have
the Elkhorn
address. Palmira is doing better. We wish to thank everyone who has sent
donations for the prayer letter. This is
a healing ministry that brings comfort and peace to those we are praying for. Thankyou for your prayers and support.

Lowly Birth
Stars twinkle amid the
darkness
Quiet blankets the land
The lowly cave is ready
Jesus steals into time
No notice is given of his
birth
Alone the family rejoices
Only the pure of heart come
They come humbly with
sincerity
Giving all they have
Gently they lay all before
the Child
Gratitude and joy fills
them
Lighting up the world
