Mary has towards us—as well as toward Jesus, toward God—a love that started in time but that has never ended. Just as she was our mother then, so too today she is our mother who continually assists us. This is why we have so much trust in her, and we invoke her and call her mother, because in reality she is our mother who has given us birth spiritually…Through the centuries she exercises her motherhood.
