Jesus said to the Samaritan woman: the Father
asks for true adorers. We wish to become adorers with this spirit of adoration
that includes the dimension of contemplative silence—not silence for the sake
of silence, but silence that seriously ponders the divine, the supernatural.
This silence helps us fix our eyes on the Master—a contemplative silence. We
wish to become adorers with this spirit of adoration that includes the dimension
of affective intimacy. Think of the Evangelist John who lays his head on the
Master’s Heart. (The Rock)
