Journeying with the Founder Day #150
Jesus, like each of us, needed help, and He found it in prayer. If we contemplate His agony in Gethsemane, we are faced with a man who suffers, who cries, who loathes the fate that awaits Him; a man who, according to the Letter to the Hebrews, lifts loud cries up to God (cum clamore valido et lacrimis) and in prayer finds the strength to abandon His spirit to the Father and to accept the chalice of suffering. (Prayer)
